The modern farmhouse style of this open-plan kitchen naturally called for a statement piece with maximum character. Hence the choice of white oak, a prestigious wood, with a thicker 1 5/8" tabletop.

Although the flooring is maple, white oak was the obvious choice for the table, perfectly complementing the shelves and other accessories in the room, which are also white oak. The result is a welcoming space where guests quickly feel at home. This is undoubtedly a kitchen firmly rooted in its time and one that will age gracefully.
The West black walnut: a unique character highlighted
The Scandinavian-inspired La West table has completely transformed the decor of this mid-century home! The black walnut offers a most distinguished look, which blends subtly with the different tones of the room.

The interplay of textures in the chairs, the retro glass cabinet, the shutters, and the solid wood moldings adds to the charm of this home. Since the flooring and chair legs were in shades of black walnut, our client opted for a tone-on-tone look with a matching black walnut table. A vintage atmosphere that captured the imagination of our team – and rightly so!
