Our Mission — To offer quality furniture and tables made with local wood by local people.
A 100% Quebec-made concept
Quebec has wood species of incredible quality and beauty, so why make furniture and tables with wood from another source?
We believe in the richness of our forests and it was important for us to showcase this richness through our passion.
Not only do we work with local wood species, but the entire manufacturing process is done here in Quebec, in our workshops.
Having control over the entire manufacturing process allows us to guarantee the quality of the furniture we produce. Cutting out the middlemen allows us to oversee every stage of production and thus provide our customers with solid wood furniture and tables of unparalleled quality.
We have too often seen imported furniture, mass-produced, that fell far short of our quality standards. Our furniture and tables are made to last, and it is essential that they be manufactured right here in our Terrebonne workshops .
Who is Brustique?
Born from a passion for wood that has only grown over time, Brustique is today a company that specializes in the manufacture of solid wood furniture and tables.
When we were younger, the forest surrounding our neighborhood was our playground, and we were fortunate enough to develop this interest in nature at a very young age. Through discovering, playing, and building, a true passion for woodworking developed.
It was only several years later that this passion, still deeply rooted within us, had to become a larger project. Building our own solid wood furniture company was inevitable. Officially founded in 2016, Brustique is proud to manufacture furniture and tables exclusively from solid wood, using local timber, by local people.
The environmental aspect behind all of this...
It was a bit contradictory for us to be passionate about nature, but at the same time encouraged by our activities to cut down trees for the making of our furniture.
Many companies are replanting trees to reduce their environmental footprint. This initiative is excellent, but we wanted to approach the problem differently and in greater depth. So we turned to Le Semoir, an initiative of Arbre-Évolution Coop de solidarité.
Le Semoir presents a unique repertoire of workshops for children in a learning context. Its themes focus on climate, ecology, the environment and eco-citizenship.
The seeder is more than 40 trainers and 60 workshops that travel to schools in Quebec to give workshops that raise awareness among our young people about nature and the good practices that surround it.
At Brustique we sincerely believe that good ecological practices and change come through education and that raising awareness among our future citizens was by far the best way to work on the problem more thoroughly.
That's why a portion of our revenue is directly donated to Le Semoir, which directly funds workshops in our schools for our future eco-citizens. Our 2021 contributions enabled us to: - Conduct two eco-educational workshops for young people at École St-Louis in Terrebonne and École Gabrielle-Roy in Boisbriand.
